Dorothea (she/her) is an upcoming actor, singer, dancer, costume designer, and technician who has been involved in theatre for over 15 years.
She performed in her first theatre production in 2012 and has continued to study and practice theatre ever since. She studied musical theatre with Village Theatre KIDSTAGE in their year-round Institute program and participated in community and educational theatre. She was a member of the Seattle Children's Chorus for seven years and continued her choir journey in high school and university.
She began her costume design and construction journey when she made her Halloween costumes with her mom. She upcycled and made clothes and costumes for herself throughout her childhood, and officially studied costume design in high school and college
Dorothea holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Hispanic Studies from Pacific Lutheran University, which she received in May 2025. She was an active participant in Pacific Lutheran University's faculty productions and student productions. She worked in P.L.U.'s costume shop all three years she attended. She was the Business Manager for Alpha Psi Omega, Theta Pi Chapter in the 2024-2025 season, and has had an active role in student leadership during her time at PLU.
Recent performance credits include Alyssa in The Prom (Pacific Lutheran University), Dance 2024 (Pacific Lutheran University), Ensemble/Amélie Understudy in Amélie (Pacific Lutheran University), and Lilith/Lilly in She Kills Monsters (Alpha Psi Omega at Pacific Lutheran University)
Recent costume design and technician credits include costume designer for Ken Ludwig's Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood (Pacific Lutheran University), co-costume designer for Native Gardens (Pacific Lutheran University, assistant costume designer for The Prom (Pacific Lutheran University), and costume technician for all of Pacific Lutheran University's Spotlight Productions from fall 2022 through spring 2025.
